The Heart Behind

Andrea Caldera
Associate Broker
I am a first-generation American on my dad’s side—his family is from Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico—and a second-generation Santa Fean on my mom’s side, whose roots trace back to Cork, Ireland. I spent much of my childhood between Mexico and Santa Fe, immersed in both cultures, until my family eventually settled in Santa Fe for good. Those early years shaped so much of who I am today.
For 36 years, my parents have operated our small family business, and I’ve been involved in it for as long as I can remember. Growing up in that environment taught me the value of hard work, connection, and community—lessons that continue to guide me every day. My Mexican heritage is deeply woven into my identity, and being bilingual in Spanish and English allows me to build relationships with warmth and authenticity.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Political Science and World Religions, followed by a master’s degree in International Relations. While my education broadened my worldview, Santa Fe will always be home. I’m a proud mom to two beautiful boys, ages one and three, who inspire everything I do.
Giving back to the community that raised me is incredibly important. I serve on the board of the Santa Fe Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and volunteer as a tutor with the New Mexico Children’s Cancer Fund. Supporting local families and children is one of the most meaningful parts of my life and a constant reminder of why I love this work and this community.
